Spring is not far off!

Spring is not that far away, just once we get passed this cold wind weather. I tend to appriecate life and what it bring me, the weather the seasons good and bad events, they are all meant for a purpose although at the time it doesn't seem so..

My Barn Owl.

My Barn Owl is one years old and very very tame, the calm he gives me when I am with him is out of this world! My family and myself enjoy him very much and look after him to the best!
There is so much to learn about the keep of a Barn owl or any bird, how and when they feed excellent, hygine etc etc... With Birds of pray they need to be weighed regular to monitor their weight and if training them to free fly they will need to be dropped down on their food to retrieve. When handling a Bird of pray you must alway respect their insticts, they are natural hunters! and should always be handled with a specialized glove to protect yourself from the talons digging into your arms.
Dedication is what is needed this is the key!! And then you can enjoy the relationship to the up most.

PS. To own a Barn Owl one has got to be captive breed with proof of license, other wise it is against the law to do other wise.
